Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 10, 2026
We believe in being straightforward -- about money and about how we handle your information. Here's the short version: we collect very little, we don't sell anything, and we respect your privacy.
What We Collect
Money, Actually uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site -- things like which pages are popular, how long people stay, and what devices they use. This helps us make the site better.
Google Analytics collects:
- Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- Your general location (country/city level, not your address)
- Browser type and device information
- How you found us (search engine, social media, etc.)
We do not collect your name, email (unless you give it to us voluntarily, like signing up for a newsletter), financial information, or anything personally identifying.
Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish between visitors. These are small text files stored in your browser. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings -- the site will still work just fine.
We Don't Sell Your Data
Period. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. That's not what we're about.
Data Retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it's automatically deleted. We don't maintain any separate database of visitor information.
Your Tools, Your Data
Any numbers you enter into our calculators and tools stay in your browser (via local storage). They never leave your device or get sent to our servers. You're in full control -- clear your browser data anytime and it's gone.
Third-Party Links
We sometimes link to other websites. Once you leave Money, Actually, their privacy policies apply -- not ours. We recommend giving them a quick look.
Changes to This Policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. No sneaky stuff.
